The vessels operated by Irish ferries are amongst the pride of the nation. Two routes connect the green island to the UK. From Pembroke in South Wales cruise ferries leave twice a day for rosslare and from Holyhead in North Wales there are five daily departures to the capital Dublin. This stretch is operated by cruise ferries and fast ferries (Dublin Swift). The prices for both routes are the same; there is a surcharge for the Swift Vessels. As one may combine both routes, the prices indicated are for half returns.
