Built in the 1860's, the Royal Ettrick Hotel was originally the grand town house of a rich Edinburgh barrister. The house was converted into a hotel in the 1940's, extended and now boasting a conservatory and private car park.

This traditional Festival Hotel offers quality accommodation, value for money and a very warm welcome. With 19 bedrooms of a two star standard, conservatory restaurant, beer garden, International Bar and Lounge Bar the Royal Ettrick Hotel strives to offer a home from home.
The main hotel has 12 bedrooms 9 of which are located on the top floor via a winding staircase. Some rooms have sloping ceilings and skylights. The hotel does not have a lift.
The first floor features three executive bedrooms, which are spacious and bright. The 5 annex bedrooms some with no windows or sky lights have recently been refurbished with light wood finishings and floorings. Some of these rooms have limited disabled facilities.
