This short vacation begins in IJmuiden, with a relaxing passage to Newcastle. From here it takes you less then 3 hours to reach your destination.

On the western edge of the Lake district, in the nice little town of Great Clifton you stay one or two nights in the lovely OLD GINN HOUSE HOTEL. This is a former farmhouse, dating from the 16th century. All rooms have en suite facilities, with telephone, TV and radio. Of course there is a cosy bar and a good restaurant.
